Get To Know Our Non-Profit Partners: So Others Might Eat (SOME)
We are so happy to partner with So Others Might Eat (SOME), an incredible interfaith, community-based organization fighting poverty and homelessness in Washington, D.C.
SOME has a mission to find pathways out of poverty and achieve long term-stability and success. SOME provides affordable housing, counseling, addiction treatment, and job training in addition to providing food, clothing, and healthcare. In 2019, SOME provided 367,855 meals, 38,152 sets of clothing, 1,211 showers, 26,254 visits to various healthcare providers, affordable housing to 482 children and over 690 adults, emergency housing for 9 senior citizens, support for 190 homeless adults with mental illness, addiction recovery programs to 239 people and intensive job training to 280 homeless and low income adults. These resources and programs help break the cycle of homelessness and poverty in the D.C. community, and provide hope and dignity to those going through hardships.
We are excited to support SOME by donating floral arrangements to create a comforting and inviting environment for individuals seeking support. See here for a recent ReVased delivery!
